Zain continues to support Kuwait to end violence against women

Zain Telecom continues to support the “16 Orange Days” campaign of the United Nations Secretary-General to end violence against women by 2030 under the slogan “Unite”, launched by the United Nations, to raise awareness and exchange knowledge and innovations from all over the world, to unite efforts and address The phenomenon of violence against women and girls around the world.

The company stated in a statement that its contribution to this global initiative comes as a continuation of its cooperation with various local and international authorities, including the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, and the Regional Office of the United Nations Women for Arab States, which reflects its full commitment to support various initiatives that highlight the importance of Protecting and empowering women, promoting gender equality, and achieving the greatest level of inclusion in society in general and in the work environment in particular.

Zain expressed its pride in being one of the national entities from the Kuwaiti private sector that represents Kuwait in this initiative, by lighting its main buildings in Shuwaikh in orange for the second year in a row, similar to the rest of the state institutions from the public and private sectors, and highlighting the role and efforts of Kuwait in confronting for this phenomenon.

Zain confirmed that it is proud of being part of Kuwait’s participation in supporting this global initiative launched by the United Nations, to contribute to finding solutions and systems to stop violence against women.
