The American filmmaker, one of the most gifted and badly groomed of his generation, will set foot in the capital of Gaul to receive the 14e Lumière Prize on Friday 21 October. He succeeds Jane Campion in 2021, the Dardenne brothers in 2020 and Francis Ford Coppola in 2019.

Burton is nineteen feature films in 35 years of a career started as an animator on Rox and Rouky at Disney.
