The National Strategy for Transport and Logistics – launched by His Highness the Crown Prince and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Transport and Logistics – aims to develop the sectors of the transport and logistics system in general, which contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

At the level of the road sector, the strategy aims to improve the level of road safety and raise the level of quality on it, through a number of initiatives and projects that contribute to the Kingdom’s reaching the sixth place globally in road quality. It also aims to reduce the delay in the implementation of road projects to a minimum, which contributes to Accelerate the development movement through the implementation of road projects, which are one of the most important elements of development and development.

It is noteworthy that the national strategy for transport and logistics is based mainly on the road sector, as the Kingdom is the first globally in the road network interconnection index according to the Global Competitiveness Forum 2019, and the Kingdom is the first Arab country to use the warning vibration technology, which is one of the safety tools used by the Ministry to raise The level of road safety, as it contributed, along with the rest of the safety works and tools used by the ministry, to reducing the accident rate to 56%, the number of deaths by 51%, and the total injuries by 30%, which contributed to achieving a financial return for the community of 8.5 billion riyals.
