The launch of the program to empower women in the accounting profession

The Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants – Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, inaugurated the program for empowering women in the accounting profession, in the presence of the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, the Secretary General of the Accountants Authority Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Maghamis, and a number of female accountants Saudi women who obtained a fellowship in the Commission. For his part, the Minister of Commerce – Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi stressed that the accounting profession is one of the highest and most prestigious professions and is the backbone of any establishment and a major element to raise confidence in the national economy and the business system, indicating that the commission’s launch of this program will enhance the developmental role of women to advance the profession in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s vision 2030, stating that women today have the true will, high ambition and determination to excel and succeed in various fields, especially the accounting profession that requires accuracy, analysis and vitality, and these specifications exist for Saudi women. Dr. Al-Qasabi confirmed that there are 140 women who have obtained a fellowship certificate, which measures a person’s capabilities and capabilities to enter the profession, indicating that cooperation continues with universities so that more than 10,000 students in the field of accounting benefit from the Commission’s programs and initiatives, announcing his partnership in the journey of this program to achieve success. .

In his turn, the Secretary-General of the Accountants Authority, Dr. Ahmed Al-Maghamis, said: “We seek, through the Women’s Empowerment Program, to develop women’s leadership skills locally and internationally through their participation in the Board and Committees of the Accountants Authority. Al-Maghamis revealed that the Accountants Authority is working on establishing a support center for small and medium-sized professional enterprises. To be supportive of professionals in qualification and leadership, explaining that the launch of the Women Empowerment Program, which includes several initiatives, including the Voluntary Club, Accounting Leadership, Empowerment Platform and the Women’s Council, is the start of a package of partnerships with various sectors that will enhance the effectiveness of the program and achieve its goals.
