The Deputy Mayor of the City inaugurates the Investment Forum in Startups

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al Madinah Province, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Khalid Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Al Madinah Province, inaugurated the Investment Forum for Startups, hosted by Al Madinah Al Munawwarah for 3 days at the Center King Salman International Conference Center with the participation of 60 startup companies from around the world. The Investment Forum for Startups includes workshops by senior executives from actors in the Kingdom and the world on entrepreneurship in hospitality and tourism, entrepreneurship and sustainable entrepreneurial practices, design thinking, seed funding And others, in addition to business meetings with investors, networking opportunities, and presentations to the most important investors in the Kingdom.

The Startup Investment Forum 2022 program also includes an exhibition of more than 60 international startups from around the world and 60 innovative Saudi companies from the MIT Startup Forum competition. It also supports attracting local, regional and international investors to Saudi Arabia and contributes to achieving the Kingdom’s broader economic ambitions in line with Vision 2030. .

International startups will have the opportunity to understand the diverse and dynamic entrepreneurship ecosystem that characterizes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Startup Investment Forum, as well as access to investment opportunities, and they will have exclusive access to a wide network of investors, businessmen and government agencies wishing to support pioneering and innovative institutions.

For its part, Saudi Community Jameel announced that the Saudi Ministry of Investment had granted 30 licenses to international startups participating in the event, as part of a partnership between the Ministry of Investment, Community Jameel Saudi Arabia and Bab Rizq Jameel, to facilitate the entry of global startups into the Saudi market and expand their business in it.

The forum is held on the sidelines of the MIT Forum competition for startups in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world, and provides international startups around the world with the opportunity to expand their business in the Saudi market and meet Saudi investors. Obtaining an Entrepreneurship License.

It is noteworthy that the investment forum witnesses the participation of startups from around the world, including Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Poland, Georgia, Greece, Lebanon, the United States and the United Kingdom, and they are active in various sectors such as educational, health and financial technology.
