Tomorrow, Jeddah Islamic Port will start operating the truck appointment booking system through the “Fasah” platform, which is mandatory for all trucks wishing to enter the port, according to appointments taken in advance through the platform that provides this service in cooperation with the General Authority for Ports “Mawani”.
This decision comes as part of a plan to enhance the position of Jeddah Islamic Port as a strategic commercial center, expand its capabilities and raise the level of services provided in it, which helps improve the quality of service provided to customers. Through the application of modern and advanced technologies characterized by ease of use and its ability to keep pace with the volume of work in the port 24 hours a day. The clients of customs brokers and transport companies will book appointments through Fasah platform and then submit their appointment details to the truck driver to go to the port’s entry gate and show the appointment information upon entering, then he will go to the operator’s gate at the port; To load its container, and then exit the port.
All appointments through the platform are linked to an automated system with the relevant authorities, in order to coordinate in advance the transit of trucks at Jeddah Islamic Port, in order to regulate the movement of these trucks, reduce road congestion, and speed up customs clearance procedures.
Work began on the implementation of the project since October 4, 2020, and then began partial compliance with the system on August 11, 2021, as it proved its efficiency and ability to keep pace with the volume of work, and its contribution to regulating the entry and exit of the port.
