Smart system for Hajj and Umrah

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), in cooperation with the Makkah Cultural Forum in its current session, launched a challenge to find ideas for developing the Hajj and Umrah system, and supporting efforts to transform Makkah into a smart city, and prizes were set It has a value of one million riyals, and a bunch of other prizes.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will participate in the forum and the program of serving the pilgrims to work as strategic partners, in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, and the challenge focuses on upgrading the Hajj and Umrah experience that pilgrims and Umrah go through from all over the world, as well as advancing efforts aimed at transforming Makkah into Smart city.

The challenge aims to advance economic development and enhance societal prosperity in the Kingdom, through a number of new collective initiatives that invite talents at various local and global levels to present their ideas and present their scientific and technical solutions, and the challenge revolves around three topics: health care, transportation, and transportation. And cohort management.

The Makkah Cultural Forum, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and the Program for Serving the Guests of Rahman – as strategic partners within the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Challenge – decided to send delegates on their behalf to be part of the independent jury that will evaluate the proposals submitted, choose winning ideas and solutions for each topic, in addition to determining Challenge winner overall in its first edition; Where the participants in the challenge compete for a cash prize of one million Saudi riyals, in addition to a bunch of other prizes.
