Ooredoo Kuwait stated that it is working hard to provide aid and basic needs of food and drink to the poor communities in the country and abroad, confirming that it will continue to support the series of humanitarian and charitable campaigns organized by Al Najat Charitable Society.
The company pointed out in a statement that it had donated 5,000 dinars to participate in the “Imagine 3” campaign for drilling wells, which the association launched on Monday, March 22nd, coinciding with World Water Day.
She indicated that the Al-Najat Charitable Association launched the “Imagine 3” campaign with the aim of providing clean drinking water in poor and dry countries such as: Niger, Bangladesh, Mauritania and India, and combating diseases resulting from drinking contaminated water that cause the loss of many lives in addition to the high financial cost required by treatment. Through the campaign, the association aims to dig 500 artesian wells, with a total cost of 250,000 dinars.
Ooredoo added that it has sent thousands of text messages to all of its customers, encouraging them to donate to this great humanitarian campaign and help poor countries and peoples.
Commenting on the campaign support, Fatima Dashti, Senior Director of Public Relations, Internal Communications, Sponsorship and Social Responsibility at Ooredoo, affirmed: “Kuwait has known and known to us in (Ooredoo) our long history in charitable humanitarian work, and here we are today continuing our march in volunteer work that contributes to achieving Sustainable development goals such as eradicating hunger and poverty, improving the lives of many individuals and others. ”
She added, “Our participation in such initiatives stems from our humanitarian, moral and societal duty, which makes it imperative for us to continue to contribute to various humanitarian initiatives at the country and global levels and to spread awareness about them.”
