Nouf Expo announced that it will organize the eighth e-government forum on March 23 and 24, which will be held virtually across cyberspace, under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and His Highness will be represented at the opening ceremony by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Anas Al-Saleh.
The company pointed out that the Public Authority for Communications and Information Technology is the strategic partner supporting the forum.
The chairman and chief executive officer of the authority, Eng. Salem Al-Athaina, said, “The forum’s slogan – the comprehensive e-government is an urgent necessity after (Corona) – reflects one of the main challenges that the pandemic has imposed on our world today, and it has become imperative to work to complete the development of integrated electronic services in Kuwait, That is, those services that more than one government agency participates in providing to citizens and residents.
He added that “the ability to complete government transactions in all their forms electronically has become a health necessity and cannot be postponed as a result of the social distancing policy imposed by the Corona pandemic, in addition to its economic and societal benefits.
For his part, Chief Executive Officer of Nouf Expo, Magdy Sabry, said, “Re-engineering government procedures will form the main focus of research during the forum. This task is considered one of the basic requirements for developing integrated and comprehensive e-government services. Its development during the advanced stages of comprehensive e-government programs, and it lays the basic building block for the success of all these stages.
The company’s statement indicated that it is organizing the forum this year hypothetically in response to the challenges of the Corona pandemic, and on the other hand it considers that this is a positive element for the forum, the sponsoring companies and the participating government agencies, as this provides an opportunity for the participation of many specialists from different countries of the world in the forum’s activities through cyberspace. Moving to Kuwait is a condition for participation and the benefit of the attendees from specialized international experiences.
The company’s statement stated that it had adopted the electronic platform of the global company “Vmeets” to provide the technological services necessary for the establishment of the forum. The platform provides three-dimensional and interactive technologies for a theater hall to provide lectures and seminars, a reception hall for participants and an exhibition hall to host exhibition pavilions for the participating parties. And advanced technologies to automatically manage all the forum’s events.
