Minister of Energy: Continuous follow-up from the Crown Prince to achieve 2030 goals


Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, explained that Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense – may God protect him – is constantly following up on the vision’s programs and projects because he feels that he has a responsibility towards achieving its goals and ambitions.

This came in statements today during the signing of the Saudi Electricity Company and the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company contracts to award the electrical interconnection project between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Dr.

On this occasion, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said that reaching this important stage of this project is the culmination of the directives of the leaderships of the two brotherly countries, which stipulate strengthening the strong brotherly ties that unite them, consolidating the ancient and distinguished relations between them, and achieving the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples, and in implementation of the memorandum of understanding in The field of electrical interconnection between the two countries, which was signed in the presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, may God protect them – and His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, as part of a package of economic, development and political agreements between the two countries.

The Minister of Energy indicated that the electrical interconnection plans in the Kingdom in general are in line with its executive programs emanating from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which enjoys the patronage and attention of the Crown Prince, which aims to invest the strategic location of the Kingdom, and its possession of the largest electrical network in the Arab region and the Middle East, to be a regional center To exchange electric energy through electrical interconnection projects with countries, which contributes to strengthening the regional market for electricity trade, and supports the two countries’ participation in it.
