Minister of Economy: The Kingdom focuses on the issue of sustainability and the use of energy with high efficiency

The Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, confirmed that the Kingdom focuses on the issue of sustainability, the use of energy with high efficiency, and sustainable fuel in aviation, and that the Kingdom is committed to achieving all these goals, indicating that the world is changing at a rapid pace, especially since the Corona pandemic was a reason for efforts to speed the transformation during the past two years.

During his speech at the “Future of Aviation Conference”, currently organized by the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Riyadh, he indicated that the Kingdom is ready to invest and develop to recover from the Corona pandemic, and to put in place appropriate global policies and procedures that are compatible with the new economy, adding that the economy began after the pandemic and the transition to revitalizing the sector. Aviation and its industry, where he laid the foundations for investment in this field.

He stated that one of the most important of these examples is the transition to the digital field, and the focus on having expertise, experiences and performance in the field of travel and travelers, indicating that there is a tendency in funding to reach more than 37 billion dollars to support the field of travel and tourism and achieve prosperity and development, stressing that the aviation sector has Great ability to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Minister of Economy and Planning, Mr. Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, touched on the importance of diversity in the field of economy, pointing out that the Kingdom has several economic areas for diversification, one of which is industry and investment in the logistical field, services, development and empowerment in the aviation sector and its industry, stressing that the Kingdom enjoys a strategic and geographical location in the region. , which enhances the process of sustainability and competitiveness, and the Kingdom has strengths, and supports innovation, industries, technology, youth capabilities and entrepreneurs, as well as to enhance work on regional and local demand for tourism and aviation economics.

Al-Ibrahim stressed that the Kingdom has begun implementing the digital application and e-government and attracting talent, given the challenges that the aviation sector is going through in the world, noting that the airports in the Kingdom and through the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 will provide many job opportunities, which will enhance national investment.

He stressed that the countries of the world should focus on economic growth, and that the industrial sectors, the most important of which is the aviation sector, greatly enhance economic growth, calling on decision-makers in the countries of the world to focus on sustainable routes.
