At 69, the American comedian who played the batman in Tim Burton’s two films, finally assumes his unwavering bond to this character. He resumes his role and will give the answer to Ezra Miller.
What if we let ourselves go and savor the news? ICM Partners has just confirmed that Michael Keaton will be returning as Batman in the film The Flash.
Ironically, the more the 69-year-old comedian struggled to forget his interpretation of the batman, the more the two Batman films by Tim Burton (released in 1989 and 1992) ended up acquiring their letters of nobility.
By confirming its presence in The Flash, Michael Keaton finally assumes his unwavering bond with The Caped Crusader. The new superhero film officially kicked off production in London on Monday, as an Instagram post from director Andrés Muschietti (director of the remake of It after Stephen King).
As the site announced a few months ago The Wrap, Keaton was in talks to return to the role of Batman after nearly thirty years of denying him. He will therefore appear alongside Ezra Miller in The Flash.
That same Ezra Miller, who played the scarlet red superhero faster than his shadow in Justice league (released in 2017) takes on this role of Barry Allen, alias Flash. According to the latest information, the Batman played by Keaton would have a role of mentor.
The Flash will in any case leave aside the last two incarnations of Batman, a character created by Bob Kane. In this case those of Ben Affleck and Christian Bale. The plot therefore resumes just after Batman, the challenge.
Freely adapted from the DC Comics comic book Flashpoint (released in 2011), the story features Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) traveling through time to prevent the traumatic death of his mother. By doing so, Allen inadvertently creates another universe protected by Michael Keaton’s Batman.
The only downside is Keaton’s reluctance to join the cast of the film reunited in England. In an interview with the Deadline site last month, the actor expressed doubts about his coming to the set because of his concerns about the health crisis.
“To be honest with you, do you know what worries me the most about all of this?” It’s the Covid , Keaton said. I keep a close eye on the pandemic situation in the UK. For me, the evolution of the situation in Great Britain will be decisive. Since the virus began, I have lived outside of town, staying away from everyone. Because the Covid problem really concerns me. It is therefore my priority. I do not want to start the flower with a gun, on a film shoot, and get myself stupidly killed by being infected! ”
