Meta’s social network Instagram has begun a trial of allowing artists and collectors in the United States to sell digital artwork as virtual (NFT) collectibles.
It is noteworthy that the letters (NFT) are an acronym for the English words “Nan Vangible Token”, which means “non-emulatory”, and they are titles to virtual products such as pieces of furniture, pieces of art, clothing, or even land and apartments that can be owned with individual data recorded in encrypted serial data platforms .
The new experiment was announced by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Group, and Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, at a time when the use of NFT is booming in the digital art business, where artists and art galleries sell digital artwork with a certificate of title. Technically, NFTs are entries into an endless digital record called serial data, but will be presented via Instagram as “digital holdings.”
Zuckerberg said in a media interview that his company is testing the (NFT) on the Instagram platform, and that these services will also be available on the Facebook platform.
