INTERVIEW – The singer and actor plays for the first time in a melodrama, Little Solange by Axelle Ropert. He confides in his role, the New Wave and his friends in the film industry.
Confidential singer, then successful (gold record with Robots after all, in 2006), discreet actor, then recognized (César for best actor in a supporting role for The Great Bath, in 2019), Philippe Katerine has less hair at 53, but always more desires. LE FIGARO. – Little Solange is your first melo. How does it feel not to play a joke?
Philip Katerine. – I was especially interested in filming with Axelle Ropert. I really like his films, especially stick out your tongue, miss. Read the script of Little Solange was almost incidental. Playing a melodrama is new to me, but it doesn’t change much. The atmosphere on the shoot was relaxed, even if we were interrupted by the Covid. We were a little worried, because Jade Springer, who plays my daughter, was growing every day…
