“Human Resources”: electronic monitoring of establishments that are not committed to raising wages


In a special statement to Al-Madina, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development revealed the implementation of a plan to prevent establishments from delaying the payment of workers’ salaries. She said: It is currently working on following up and monitoring establishments that are not committed to raising the wage file for each month electronically, with notifying the facility of the text of the fine and its amount, noting that the Ministry sends alert and reminder messages before that about the necessity of commitment and disbursing wages in a timely manner.

The ministry pointed out that, with the launch of the new version of the wage protection program on its Madad platform, it allowed workers to participate in the justification, which increases the level of transparency for all contracting parties, and obliges all establishments to submit wage files to the program on a monthly basis.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development vowed to apply the penalty against the violating establishments, stressing at the same time that the wages protection program in its new version, launched by the ministry, aims to ensure that salaries are paid on time without delay.

The ministry confirmed that it applies a tight mechanism to monitor the payment of salaries in a timely manner, with the application of strict penalties for violating facilities, which start by stopping services, except for the service of issuing and renewing work licenses, and also stopping all services for facilities that do not commit to raising the wage file for 6 months, as well as a violation Establishments that are not committed to raising the wage file through direct inspection visits by inspectors in accordance with Article (30 of the Ministerial Resolution for violations and corresponding penalties), or conducting direct inspection visits by inspectors in accordance with Article (29 of the Ministerial Resolution for violations and corresponding penalties) for non-compliant firms. Paying the monthly wages to the employees.

The ministry confirmed that the wage protection program has been fully automated, and the ministry’s “Madad” platform processes wage files electronically, and ensures the commitment of establishments, in addition to providing features that enable the employee and the employer to justify, and handle violations directly without interference from the ministry except in cases where they It is not dealt with between the two contracting parties, then the ministry arranges inspection tours of the non-compliant establishments.

The Ministry stresses on all establishments the necessity of adhering to the program and transferring salaries to employees on a monthly and regular basis, and the Ministry follows up the commitment on a monthly basis. She indicated that the Wage Protection Program aims to ensure that workers’ wages are paid on time and to the agreed-upon amount, which contributes to creating a healthy and appropriate work environment.

The ministry confirmed the mechanism for dealing with complaints in complete secrecy, noting that there are several channels for receiving complaints, namely: the Ma’an application for monitoring, the customer service account via the social networking site, and calling the ministry’s unified number 19911.
