Zain honored the players who won its encouragement award for the best player in the round for the past six rounds (the twelfth to sixteenth round) of the “Zain” Football Premier League, in encouragement and appreciation for their distinguished performance, which contributed to the brilliance of the league and added enthusiasm to Kuwaiti football.
The company announced the names of the winners, and they are the player of Fahaheel club, Yaqoub Al-Tarawah, who won the twelfth round award, the player of Al-Arabi club Abdul Rahman Al-Sharhan, who won the thirteenth round award, the Qadsia club player Eid Al-Rashidi, who won the fourteenth round award, and the Qadsia club player Khaled Muhammad Ibrahim, who won the fifteenth round award. Kuwait Club player Ahmed Al-Dhafiri won the sixteenth round award, and Kazma Club player Shabib Al-Khaldi won the seventeenth round award.
Zain stated that it offers cash and in-kind prizes to players and fans amounting to 50,000 dinars per season, which is the highest value of prizes in the history of the Kuwaiti League, in order to encourage players and athletes to pursue excellence in performance, as it believes that supporting players and technical staff will contribute to the brilliance of League and adding enthusiasm and fun, as it presented prizes starting from the ninth round of the current season.
Zain stated that its encouragement prizes for athletes are as follows: 10,000 dinars for the best player of the season award, 500 dinars for the best player award in the round, 5,000 dinars for the season’s top scorer award, 5,000 dinars for the best goalkeeper in the season, and 3,000 dinars for the best coach of the season. And 2000 dinars award for the best rising star in the season.
She pointed out that a committee was formed that includes former international players with experience to set the criteria and principles upon which the winners of the encouragement awards are chosen, in coordination with the Kuwait Football Association.
The company stated that it is the official sponsor of the activities of the Kuwait Football Association during the next four seasons (2022-2026), which is the Kuwaiti Premier League, which is now known as the “Zain League”, and the First Division League, in addition to its support for the “most expensive cups”, the Cup of His Highness the Emir of the country and the Cup of His Highness Crown Prince, and the Kuwait Football Association Cup «Zain Cup».
