Finance agents discuss international tax issues


The Assistant Minister of Finance for Macro-Fiscal Policies and International Relations Abdulaziz bin Mutaib Al-Rasheed, and the Deputy Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) for Research and International Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Dosari, participated in the fourth meeting of the undersecretaries of the ministries of finance and central banks of the G20 countries under the Italian presidency, to discuss health initiatives Current global, financing opportunities and challenges.

They also discussed issues related to international taxation, policies to support the transition to a green economy, sustainable policies and financing, and the promotion of investment in infrastructure to achieve recovery, as an extension of what was achieved in the Kingdom’s presidency of the G20 last year.

This meeting is considered the fourth under the Italian presidency of the Group of Twenty and comes as a prelude to the fifth and final meeting of the finance ministers and central bank governors of the Group of Twenty under the Italian presidency, which is scheduled to be held from 7 to 8 October 2021 AD.

The committee aims to ensure that the G20 presidencies work side by side, to achieve consistency and continuity of the group’s agenda.
