Crowning the winners of the three runs in the King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival

The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, in its third edition, continued today to hold the free rounds of Qarnas for Saudi owners in the Al-Malwah 400-meter “Invitation” competition, which it started yesterday, on the festival grounds in Molham, north of Riyadh.

The competition on the sixth day of the festival reached its most intense and final moments, with a difference of negligible parts of the second, in which 216 falconers competed, and the falcon “Al-Nashmi” won in the first half for its owner Abdullah bin Abdul Hadi Al-Mutairi, achieving a time of 18 seconds and 21 part of a second.

As for the second half, which was held for the same category, Hur Qarnas, the falcon “punishment” for its owner Abdullah bin Modath Al-Dossary managed to grab first place, and the falcon cut the race distance in 19 seconds and 15 fractions of a second, so that the falcon “Mirage” achieved first place in the third half, For its owner, Fahd bin Rashid Al-Duaij, with a record time of 17 seconds and 908 milliseconds, a difference of more than 700 milliseconds for his runner-up in second place.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Falcon Club, the organizer of the festival, honors the three winners in each round, while the first seven in each round qualify for the final rounds of the King Abdulaziz Cup, and the first 10 winners in each qualifying round receive cash prizes.
