The Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate signed a memorandum of cooperation with the General Authority for Statistics, with the aim of measuring the economic and social development indicators related to the governorate.
The memorandum included measuring population and visitor development indicators, income and spending rates, as well as indicators of culture, sustainability, tourism, education, and other indicators and population and development statistics in “AlUla”. The memorandum was signed by the CEO of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate, Eng. Amr bin Saleh Al-Madani, and the President of the General Authority for Statistics, Dr. Konrad Besendorfer, at the headquarters of the Royal Commission in Riyadh.
The CEO of the Royal Commission for the Governorate, Eng. Amr Al-Madani, said in a press statement that the signing of the memorandum comes as part of efforts to achieve the “Vision of Al-Ula” and the goals of the “Kingdom’s Vision 2030” through sustainable development in the governorate, and achieving the aspirations of quality of life for residents and visitors. Pointing out that the data collection and analysis – which will be carried out under the memorandum – will support the decision-making process in the work of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula, and enhance the measurement of the impact of the commission’s projects and programmes.
