Except Everyone at their homei, the comedy of Michèle Laroque, no new entry is to be reported this week in the top five of the French box office, dominated since the reopening by the film by Albert Dupontel.
Three weeks since the reopening, Goodbye idiots continues to attract viewers to the cinema. After having dominated the return of the public in theaters, the film of Albert Dupontel, crowned by seven César, still prances at the head of the box office the week of June 2 to 8. According to figures published Wednesday by CBO, more than 150,000 people came to appreciate the duo Dupontel-Efira in this acid chronicle of contemporary society. Since the start of its operation, interrupted by the long closure of cultural venues, the feature film has attracted a total of 1.6 million curious.
For its second week of operation, The Father , of Frenchman Florian Zeller, climbs to second place in the ranking with more than 130,000 entries. Carried by an Anthony Hopkins of the great days, the film, which won two Oscars, offers a disturbing dive into senile dementia.
With over 90,000 admissions, Japanese anime Demon slayer , directed by Haruo Sotozaki, comes in third place. The feature film inspired by the eponymous manga had recorded attendance records in Japan and then in the United States. When it was released in our region, it had garnered more than 300,000 presales for the first week.
In fourth and fifth place at the box office this week, we find the new comedy by and with Michèle Laroque Each home (89,041 admissions) and the film mixing real shots and animation Tom and Jerry (81,889).
