The authority said that, in coordination with various tourism facilities, it has prepared a package of various initiatives and projects aimed at stimulating family tourism, as Bahrain is an ideal tourist destination for the Gulf family to spend various holidays, due to the presence of tourist and entertainment attractions targeting various family members. She stated that she expects an increase in the volume of visitors during the next phase from the various entry points to Bahrain, especially through the King Fahd Bridge crossing, especially after raising the level of government health coordination between the various countries of the Gulf countries to adopt vaccination and recovery certificates to ensure the entry of visitors easily and without any hindrances. The authority pointed out that it launched the campaign # We have you and focused it through digital marketing platforms targeting Bahraini visitors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where it launched the campaign through its Instagram and Twitter accounts (tourismbh), in order to introduce all the tourism activities and offers, in addition to the new tourism facilities in Bahrain that have taken place Completed during the last year 2020.

And she announced that the Corona pandemic greatly prevented field communication between the people of Bahrain with their brothers in the Gulf countries, especially in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. And decorating some of the main buildings in the Kingdom’s streets in red and green, with the campaign slogan displayed on billboards inside some malls, and a number of shows were presented in the Kingdom, including Bahrain Bay, during the period from 17 to 23 May.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority indicated that it has strengthened its communication with Bahraini tourist facilities, including hotels, restaurants, cafes, entertainment destinations, and others, with the aim of ensuring that these facilities are ready to receive tourists again, and that they take all health precautionary measures and the commitment of their workers to ensure an enjoyable and safe stay for tourists.

The CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Dr. Nasser Al-Qaidi, expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s welcome to the Gulf brothers, stressing that the cadres of the Tourism Authority are ready to receive and celebrate them, provide excellent services and provide them with the highest standards of comfort. He added that the return of Gulf tourists heralds the resumption of activity for the tourism sector as a whole in the Kingdom of Bahrain, enhances confidence in the tourism sector, and paves the way for a new phase towards supporting the economic movement, hospitality, retail, logistics and other sectors, and constitutes a positive boost to the economic and investment sector.

Dr. Qaidi affirmed that the Tourism Authority continues its work to enhance Bahrain’s position as a preferred tourist destination in the region, and to find appropriate solutions that contribute to ensuring the sustainability of the tourism work system, while taking into account ensuring that the health and safety of visitors continues to be a top priority.
