The project comes within the framework of the economic recovery plan, which contributes to strengthening economic, commercial and industrial cooperation and advancing bilateral trade between Bahrain and the United States of America to greater horizons, and as a result of concluding a memorandum of understanding in the year 2021 to establish this area, which covers an area of approximately 110,000 square meters and amounts to 1.11 million square meters with future expansion.
The “American Trade Zone” project is one of the strategic projects announced by the government of Bahrain, which consists of preparing general plans for five new and existing cities consisting of more than 20 projects, in developing the sectors of infrastructure, communications, tourism, industry, education, health, and housing. Youth and sports, in enhancing Bahrain’s economic position and competitiveness, in accordance with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
