Amazon opens 11 new centers and provides more than 1500 job opportunities in the Kingdom


Today, Amazon revealed its plans to expand its business network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 2021, which includes the opening of 11 new centers and the provision of more than 1500 job opportunities for the citizens and residents of the Kingdom.

This will contribute to enhancing Amazon’s operations to improve its customer service in the Kingdom, as the delivery network will be improved to include six warehouses for storing products and 13 delivery stations, allowing the company to reach a larger segment of customers in various remote Saudi cities and regions, and providing faster and more flexible delivery options for the improvement. Better with their customers’ experiences.

Amazon’s new achievements will boost the company’s warehouse storage capacity in Saudi Arabia by 89%, while its delivery network will grow by 58%. The company also cooperated with Saudi Post and ten delivery service partners, which allowed it to serve the largest number of customers and reach them in all regions in the Kingdom. Amazon’s investments will contribute to enhancing the overall storage capacity of its warehouses in the Kingdom in conjunction with the opening of a network of new centers and the closing of some old centers while securing many improved and developed features designed specifically to provide smarter, faster and more consistent customer experiences.

By the end of 2021, Amazon will provide millions of consumer products from its various warehouses, which will reach a total area of ​​more than 867,000 square feet, equivalent to the area of ​​more than ten football fields.

As part of its commitment to providing the finest delivery experiences, Amazon has made many new offers available to its customers since the beginning of this year; The Prime program was launched in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last January, to allow its customers from various Saudi regions to benefit from fast and convenient delivery service on the same day or the next day.

The Amazon network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today includes three warehouses in Riyadh and Jeddah, in addition to 11 delivery stations and two centers for sorting orders, and a wide network of 11 Partners for delivery services. As Amazon continues to invest in its network of operations, the company is putting the health and safety of its employees, customers, and partners on its priority list. Amazon has so far updated more than 150 procedures in its logistics network, and invested more than $ 11.5 billion over the past year in all aspects of the Covid-19 crisis around the world.
