The new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Yanbu Ahmed Salem Al-Shagdali revealed his plan, which focuses on increasing the number of subscribers by 75% and attracting more investments, especially in tourism and entertainment investments, during the next phase. This came in the first press statement to (Al-Madina) after his election, indicating that the roadmap to the success of his presidency is based on the inspirational phrase of His Highness the Crown Prince and all the people of the nation, “Our ambition is heavenly”, indicating that the members agreed to work hard and have the courage to leave when Negligence and giving the opportunity to those who can serve Yanbu and its people in particular, and the country is experiencing the stage of accountability, which entails saying, “There is no place for negligent or lax among us. He stressed the importance of work governance, monitoring the performance of officials and employees, and ensuring that they keep pace with the vision and aspirations of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, noting that he touched everyone’s enthusiasm and determination to develop and enrich the investment environment and expand the base of actors in it to attract more investments.
Al-Shagdli stated that one of his priorities is to support Saudi youth by encouraging them, providing training programs, and developing professional capabilities and competencies for investors and entrepreneurs. To enable them to conduct business, noting that attracting investors to tourism and entertainment projects will be part of Yanbu Chamber’s plans during this stage as a strategic option, and he expressed his aspiration to support the Public Investment Fund for entertainment projects in order to enhance the quality of life of the population and achieve their aspirations and entertainment needs.
Regarding his plan to increase the number of subscribers, Al-Shagdli stressed that he will work to increase the percentage of subscribers by 20% during the first year, and that it will double in the coming years to more than 75% by attracting and encouraging businessmen and inviting them to invest in Yanbu, in which the fields of investment vary between technology, the petrochemical industry, and industries. He praised the support of Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region, and his deputy Prince Saud bin Khalid Al Saud and the Minister of Commerce. Dr. Majid Al-Qusaibi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment for Internal Trade, Abdul-Mohsen Al-Manea, and all the Chamber’s employees, in order to improve performance and serve subscribers and the business community in the governorate.
