Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Emir of Makkah, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Arabic Poetry, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement at the Emirate’s headquarters in Jeddah, between the Ministry of Culture and the Academy of Arabic Poetry at Taif University.
The agreement, signed by both sides, Deputy Minister of Culture Hamid Fayez, Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Arabic Poetry, President of Taif University, Dr. Youssef Asiri, provides for the development of the literature, publishing and translation sector and support for Arabic poetry, in addition to the development of the music sector, which will create an interactive poetic environment that attracts expertise and experiences. The agreement enhances cooperation between the Ministry and the Academy in several events, such as the Saudi Poetry Forum, and various literary programs that contribute to enriching the cultural scene in the Kingdom.
