The Minister of Energy said that the world has abundant resources to exploit them effectively, whether they are hydrocarbons, fossil fuels, renewable energy and hydrogen. Huge investments in shale gas, and we will allocate some of this gas for use in the production of blue hydrogen.”
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman stressed that the Kingdom is working to expand its international market and find a market for green hydrogen.
He said, “During my participation in Sustainability Week in Abu Dhabi, I emphasized that we do not have to choose the source of energy on which each country depends, but rather the country must choose according to the natural resources available to it.”
He reiterated the importance of the three pillars of energy security, economic growth and prosperity, sustainability, and climate change; “We cannot reach our goals without them, and we cannot lose one pillar for another,” he said.
The minister pointed out that the main pillar of the green initiative is the circular economy of carbon, which requires us to be more innovative in terms of recycling and reuse, to reduce carbon emissions by 278 million tons.
