His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, directed the Electricity Company to deal with the internal networks in the camps. This came during his tour yesterday with the designated Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, during which he inspected the electricity services provided to the pilgrims in the holy sites. And they were briefed on the progress of work during a visit to the headquarters of the Saudi Electricity Company in Mina, in the presence of the CEO of the Royal Commission for the City of Makkah and the Holy Sites, Engineer Abdul Rahman Addas.
His Highness the Minister of Energy affirmed that serving pilgrims is an honor that cannot be matched, and that the directives of the leadership stipulate making utmost efforts to facilitate the guests of Allah in these blessed places.
And His Highness indicated that the parties that provide services during Hajj must be informed and follow up to provide all the possibilities offered by the state, noting that the current Hajj season is exceptional, and the number is limited, and an opportunity to identify some of the issues that were repeated in the past and find sustainable solutions to them, directing the company to address Internal networks within the camps that are outside the scope of the company’s tasks.
For his part, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah clarified that Hajj is a participatory sector, not for the Ministry of Hajj alone, but for all relevant ministries and agencies, and we will meet with ministries and other concerned authorities after the season to correct any gaps or errors, and solve them radically to provide the best services to the pilgrims.
