A scientific symposium examines the developments of diabetic foot


The first virtual scientific symposium on developments in diabetic foot treatment, held in the Arab world, will start on January 2nd.

The head of the symposium’s organizing committee, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Yahya Khoja, confirmed that the virtual scientific symposium organized by the Experiences Forum for Medical Exhibitions and Conferences in cooperation with the Medical Field and Care Medical Company has the participation of a wide scientific and medical elite of scientists and specialists in the field of treatment and surgery of diabetic foot from Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Scientific sessions

He indicated that the symposium will be held for one day with two scientific sessions. The first session will be chaired by Professor Ashraf Amir, Consultant of Family Medicine and Vice President of the Saudi Society for Family Medicine. This session includes three scientific lectures. The first lecture is presented by Professor Ashraf Amir and the second lecture is presented by Dr. Ahmed El Sawah, Vice President of Alia Group. And the CEO of Third Eye Healthcare, while the third lecture is given by Dr. Khaled Idris, a consultant foot and ankle surgeries, and at the end of the session, scientific discussions and answers to the attendees’ questions begin.

The second scientific session chaired by Professor Mustafa Suleiman, Head of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Ain Shams University in the Arab Republic of Egypt will also take place, and it includes four scientific lectures. Professor Mustafa provides the first lecture, while the second lecture is presented by Dr. Nashat Ghandourah, Consultant Diabetic Foot Surgeon at King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah. The third is a consultant plastic surgeon, Dr. Thuraya Tashkandi. The lectures of this session will be concluded by the lecture of Dr. Tariq Radwan, Head of Vascular Surgery at the International Medical Center in Cairo. Then the discussion begins and answers the attendees ’questions.

Therapeutic developments

Dr. Khoja explained that the aim of holding this symposium is to focus on therapeutic developments for one of the most important and dangerous complications of diabetes, which is diabetic foot problems and deep ulcers in the foot or the rest of the body, which may reach the point of amputation of a limb in the human body and the importance of the symposium lies in discussing the developments of treatment using techniques Therapeutic “Tetra Silver” to reduce limb amputation of diabetic foot and help diabetics and people with various ulcers to end their suffering.

He invited all doctors and specialists in diabetic foot surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, family and community doctors in the Kingdom and the Arab countries to quickly register available free of charge in this symposium to benefit from its scientific program and obtain the scientific hours granted to the symposium by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
