A recommendation to increase women’s industrial investments to 20%


The “Industry Women” conference organized by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones (MODON) called at the end of its work – the day before yesterday to increase the female capital in the sector to 20%, unify the regulations of the procedures for empowering women industrially while providing financing solutions, and strengthening the role of “MODON” In its continuous efforts to overcome obstacles and develop partnerships with stakeholders in the public and private sectors. The conference, which was inaugurated by the Minister of Industry Bandar Al-Khorayef, also recommended stimulating industrial establishments and urging them continuously to create all the necessary enablers, and to provide an appropriate environment for women’s work to ensure an increase in the percentage of their economic contribution to the industrial sector, and to raise the proportion of women’s capital in the industrial sector to 20% by 2030, and discussed Ways to empower women’s work in cities and industrial oases, in partnership and cooperation with the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf), and to find out best practices and experiences in empowering women’s work in the Unicharm Gulf Health Industries Company, the Advanced Electronics Company and Al-Fanar Company, and to share these experiences with the industrial sector facilities to benefit from them. . The participants also recommended submitting to the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to hold the second session of the Industrial Women’s Conference in its international version during the last quarter of the year 2021 AD, and to adopt an annual forum for empowering women’s work in the industrial sector. For his part, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources – Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef assured that he will strive to improve and develop a suitable environment for women and enhance their participation in order to empower them in the industrial sector by all means.
