The net written premiums of insurance amounted to (24.92) billion riyals, compared to (24.79) 1 billion riyals in the same period last year, an increase of 0.5%. Health insurance activity controlled more than 73.8% of the net claims, which amounted to 13.1 billion riyals, compared to 13.5 billion riyals in the same period last year. General insurance acquired 23.39%, with a total of 4.15 billion riyals, compared to 4.8 billion riyals in the same period of 2019, to decline by 13.5%.
General insurance includes insurance of vehicles, accidents and liabilities, property, marine, engineering, energy, and aviation insurance, and customers ’claims from protection and savings activities amounted to 492.06 million riyals compared to 388.12 million riyals in the same period last year, an increase of 26.8%. Slightly during the third quarter of 2020, by 0.2%; To reach 6.23 billion riyals, compared to 6.21 billion riyals in the same quarter of the year 2019, and the total number of insurance policies increased by 17.8% in the first 9 months of 2020, reaching 6.6 million documents, compared to 5.6 million documents in the same period last year. The number of documents reached 2.4 million documents in the third quarter of this year, compared to 1.7 million documents in the same quarter of 2019, an increase of 41.4%.
